CHAPTER 1 : HOUSE OF TJIHAPIT

On a busy street in Cihapit, where cars pass quickly and people move from shop to shop, there is a café that feels like a quiet pause. Its name is House of Tjihapit. From the outside, the café looks simple, but its tall green wall covered with fake plants makes it stand out. The mix of red and white leaves catches your eye, and the café’s logo sits right in the middle, inviting you to come in.

When you step inside, the noise from the street disappears. The café feels open and bright because sunlight shines through large glass windows and a skylight above. Wooden tables and wood chairs are placed neatly around the room. On one wall, there is a painting of a forest that makes you feel like you are sitting outdoors. Soft music plays in the background. People sit quietly, some chatting with friends, others working on their laptops in a co-working corner. Every seat has a nearby power outlet, which is helpful if you want to stay longer.

At the back of the café, there is a clean bathroom and a prayer room. The prayer room is quiet, cool, and comfortable. While the parking area is not very big and often fills up, especially on weekends, many visitors are happy to walk a little just to enjoy the calm inside.

MENU VARIETY

The menu at House of Tjihapit offers many choices. There are Indonesian meals, Western-style dishes, snacks, and drinks. If you are hungry, try the Soto Djanda. It is a bowl of warm soup with creamy coconut broth, beef slices, and fresh herbs. Another favorite is Sop Iga Sapi. This beef rib soup comes in a large portion and is full of flavor. For pasta lovers, the Fusili Pene is a good choice. It tastes fresh, with basil and cheese cream in every bite.

If you want something to drink, you can try Kopi Tjihapit. It is a strong coffee mixed with milk and a little spice. It tastes sweet and bold at the same time. Another popular drink is Strawberry Falls, which is cold and sweet with a mix of milk and strawberry flavor. This drink costs twenty-nine thousand rupiah. The beef soup is one of the more expensive items, costing fifty-eight thousand rupiah, but the size and taste make it worth it. You can also find many other drinks, from tea to coffee to fresh juices. The menu is a mix of traditional and modern, and the prices are fair for the quality you get.

FACILITIES

House of Tjihapit is bigger than it seems at first. It has different seating areas. Inside, you can enjoy the modern light and air conditioning. Outside on the terrace, you can sit under plants and vines while enjoying fresh air. There is also a working area where people bring their laptops. This space is quiet, has plugs, and feels comfortable for doing work or studying.

The decorations are nice and simple. You will see plants, wood carvings, and short quotes on the walls. The forest wall painting is a special part of the café that many visitors like. It makes the café feel peaceful and creative.

There is free Wi-Fi, clean bathrooms, and a prayer room. These facilities make the café feel complete.

Although the parking space is small, many people still come and find their own way to park nearby.

SERVICES

The staff at House of Tjihapit are friendly and polite. When you come in, they greet you and let you choose your seat. You do not need to go to the counter. The staff will come to your table and take your order. If you are not sure what to order, they are happy to explain and give suggestions.

The food and drinks are served quickly. Everything arrives in good condition, with clean plates and nice presentation. The café does not feel rushed. You can enjoy your time without being disturbed.
